History

Ron and Edie Brand opened Pawleys Island Blinds and Shutters in 1989. As a family-owned and operated business, and long-term residents of Pawleys Island, Ron and Edie are well known in the area for their experience, dependable service and installation and competitive pricing. Ron and Edie taught their youngest son Simon, the business and in 1998 Simon opened his own company called Shoreblinds and Shutters serving clients from Murrells Inlet to Little River. Together, Ron, Edie and Simon were able to cover the entire grand strand area.

In 2025, Ron and Edie retired from the business, leaving their Pawleys Island business to their son’s. John, provides marketing and promotional services throughout the Grand Strand through his advertising agency in Surfside, and Simon does all of the day-to-day business operations including sales, measuring and installation for shutters, shades and blinds.
